新城島について

新城島

西表島と黒島の間に小さな2つの島で[新城島（パナリ]）と呼ばれている。上地島と下地島とに離れ（パナリ）ていることからそう呼ばれている。2つの島は引き潮の時には繋がり、歩いて行き来できるほどの距離になる。現在パナリには全体が牧場になっている下地島に管理人が2人、上地島に4人が住んでいる。
